This just in-that long-gestating film based on Disneyland’s iconic Space Mountain attraction is finally ready to launch. Okay, well, it at least has new writers now. According to the usual suspects, “Cowboy Bebop” showrunners Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec will pen the script. Originally, Joby Harold (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”) was set to write the film, but that has changed. The project was first announced back in 2020. If you haven’t been watching “X-Men: ’97” on Disney+, you are MISSING OUT. This reimagined-yet-throwback series has been all the talk the last few weeks. News from the Continent- sounds like Netflix has given the greenlight for a 5th and final season of “The Witcher.” Season 5 will reportedly film back to back with season 4, which just had it’s first table read this week! The goal is to adapt the remaining Andrzej Sapkowski books- “Baptism of Fire,” “The Tower of the Swallow,” and “Lady of the Lake.” “It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate season of The Witcher with a stellar cast, including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia,” showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said.…

An upcoming big budget studio film has officially launched a trailer from space. We’re kind of surprised it’s taken this long, honestly. And more surprised it wasn’t one of the “Fast and Furious,” “Star Trek,” or Tom Cruise movies to do it. Instead, it’s Paramount Pictures’ upcoming “TRANSFORMERS ONE!” The trailer is introduced by Chris Hemsworth (“Thor”) as Optimus Prime, and Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron. We also get our first look/listen at Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1, and Keegan-Michael Key as B-127. This just in- Apple TV+ has renewed one of our absolute favorite shows for a 5th season! We’ve been talking about “For All Mankind” for a long, long time, and we are DELIGHTED to see it get another season. A spinoff has also been ordered, called “Star City,” which will tell the same story, but from the Iron Curtain prospective during the first days of the space race to the moon. It’s always a sad thing when one of your favorite shows ends. Even moreso when the cast, crew, and creators are such a big part of the fandom, that you can feel their sadness too. This just in-sounds like we may be getting a new Principal of Nevermore Academy in season 2 of Netflix’s “Wednesday.” Sources indicate Steve Buscemi has joined the series from Tim Burton for it’s sophomore outing. Details are scarce about who the “Boardwalk Empire” star may play, but earlier reports indicate his character may be taking over the Principal position from Gwendoline Christie’s Larissa Weems. The series stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, daughter of Morticia (Catharine Zeta Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán) Addams. Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix. This just in-everyone’s favorite actor (and all-around good egg) Keanu Reeves is ready to GO FAST. The “John Wick” star is no stranger to big-budget films or franchises, or animated features, honestly. His NEXT voice gig will apparently be in the upcoming third “Sonic the Hedgehog” film! According to the usual sources, Reeves will be voicing Shadow, the dark and moody kinda-sorta-mostly-anti-Sonic character from the SEGA video games. Paramount Pictures currently has “Sonic 3” dated for a December 20th, 2024 release. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.

It’s one thing to add the word ‘legacy’ to a project.
