When I was a kid, I thought one of the most amazing powers Disney princesses had was the ability to talk to animals. I would sit still and wait for an animal to approach me by trying to give off an unthreatening aura. And, while I could never get any of them to trust me, it seems that others apparently don’t have that issue. One woman for sure doesn’t as she was whisked away by a forest creature so that she could see it’s nest. Petnarianpets shared a video of a woman being led by a finger by a squirrel…

Performer Murray Sawchuck, better known as Murray the Magician, has accumulated an impressive 65 million views on YouTube by revealing the secrets behind common illusions — an act considered sacrilegious in the magic community. As a result, his standing in the Academy of Magical Arts now lies in jeopardy. At the age of 50, Sawchuck’s fame has spanned across notable appearances on television and the internet. He first caught the public’s attention on an episode of “Blind Date” where he charmed his partner with his magic tricks. He then grew in prominence as the resident magic historian on the show…

One of the things that I worried about the most when decorating my basement was how the heck was I going to hang things on the flimsy wood paneling. Well, Displate had the answer and I’m so happy with the results. Displate is a company that makes metal posters that you can hang up with magnets, so no holes necessary! Now my basement isn’t the greatest. You can tell that the landlord special was pretty heavy in some areas of the house I’m renting. Nevertheless when you rent you want to make sure that you do as little damage to…

Today I want to feature a film that anyone who enjoys true crimes will find interesting. The film “What Jennifer Did” came out on Netflix April 10th and has only been out a handful of days. However, the movie is already showing as #1 on the streaming platform. It was a violent crime that shook a quiet Canadian town: Mysterious intruders break into the home of Vietnamese immigrants, terrorize the family, and leave a traumatized daughter as the only witness. Neighbors and friends describe the family as hospitable, generous, and hard-working – how could they be targets? This feature-length documentary…

A new collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg is on the horizon. The pair are reportedly developing “Cape Fear” series for Apple TV+. They will executive produce the project, which will be based on the 1962 and 1991 Universal movies of the same name. Scorsese directed the 1991 film, which was made under Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. They will be on the project headed by creator, executive producer and showrunner Nick Antosca (“The Act”), Amblin Television (Spielberg’s label) and UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group. When this was being talked about last year it wasn’t clear on which streaming platform would be getting the series…

The very first model of the USS Enterprise which was used in the opening credits of “Star Trek: The Original Series” has been found after having been missing since the 1970s. It has been returned to the Roddenberry family. Heritage Auctions contacted Eugene “Rod” Rodenberry, son of “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry and actress Majel Barrett Roddenberry, to let him know they had it. Heritage’s executive vice president, Joe Maddalena, said the auction house was contacted by people who said they’d discovered the model in a storage unit. When it was brought into Heritage’s Beverly Hills office, Maddalena and a…

We may know what Steven Spielberg’s next film will be. The multi-Oscar winner may be developing another UFO movie. David Koepp will be writing the screenplay. Koepp is most well known for his work on Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man,” “Mission: Impossible.” and tons of other credits. He’s worked with Spielberg for many years, and the two seem to have a great working rapport. If you know your Spielberg history, you’ll remember he’s known for one or two popular UFO films. Movies like… “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” and “E.T. the Extraterrestrial.” The first mentioned was one of the only two…

Auteur filmmaker Martin Scorsese (“Goodfellas,” “Passion of the Christ”) will be helming two back-to-back movies soon. The first is about Jesus, and the second is a Frank Sinatra biopic.  He’s already reportedly assembled a star-studded cast for the biopic. With names including Leonardo DiCaprio as ol Blue Eyes himself, and Jennifer Lawrence playing Sinatra’s second wife, Hollywood star Ava Gardner. Though it’s possible some pushback from estate owner of Sinatra may happen, as Frank’s daughter Tina Sinatra hasn’t given her blessing to the project yet. It’s no wonder Tina Sinatra has some qualms about this film. Given Frank had left her mother,…
