The delays keep coming! Recently, developer People Can Fly announced that co-op shooter “Outriders” is being delayed. Thankfully, it isn’t all bad news though. Alongside this announcement, the developer also announced a demo of the game coming soon.
Originally, “Outriders” was scheduled for launch on February 2. However, the game is now being pushed back until April 1. (No, it is not all an April Fool’s joke.) The studio says the delay will be spent “fine tuning the game and focusing on delivering a fantastic play experience at launch.” Hm, it almost sounds like a jab at a certain highly-anticipated game’s launch that was riddled with bugs and issues.
Thankfully, we don’t have to go entirely without “Outriders” next month. On February 25, a demo of the game will be available to everyone. This demo will allow players to sample the first few hours of the game. It includes all four character classes and both single and multiplayer modes. Best of all, any progress made in the demo will carry over to the game when it launches. It’s a great opportunity for players to test the waters and decide if they want to purchase the full game.
For those unfamiliar with the title, “Outriders” is a sci-fi shooter for 1 to 3 players. Humanity is attempting to colonize the planet Enoch when things go astray. They encounter an enrgy storm known as “The Anomaly.” This storm gives both the planet’s inhabitants and the colonists superpowers. From there, you must create your own character and choose your class. Then journey forward to save humanity and discover the secrets of “The Anomaly.”
